Our Honeymoon: Winter Wonderland in Colorado

Well it just makes sense that after getting married we would go on our honeymoon, it's jut kinda how things work. Of course we were ecstatic past words to get married, and the prospect of getting to spend some time together in the Colorado portion of the Rocky Mountains only helped to encourage that.
We made the 14 hours drive safe and sound to our quaint and romantic cabin in Estes Park, Colorado. We spent three days and two nights in this cabin thanks to Bennett's Awesome Uncle Eric.
The cabin included a loft with king bed, full kitchen, and sweet fireplace that practically never stopped getting used.
Going into town at Estes Park was a fun little day trip.

We got plenty of time to play in the snow, make snow men, and crunch around in the fresh powder until or hands and feet were frozen to the bone.
After Estes Park we came down into Denver and went Downtown for the new-years celebration and fireworks!

We even got to spend a day in Colorado Springs and visit the Garden of the Gods, it's was all snowed over and beautiful. With out a doubt we got the Winter Wonderland honeymoon that we wanted.

On our way back through New Mexico we spent a day in Santa Fe and got the chance to look around the downtown area. Needless to say we sang the song from the Newsies... a Lot
Then on the final leg of our journey we stopped in Snowflake AZ for dinner with one of Allesha's close friends and visited the temple for Bennett's first time.

All in all it was the best honeymoon we could have possibly asked for, and everything went smoothly and amazingly! We're so happy to be together, and look forward to many more adventures to post about in the future.
With Love

Crossing the Border in Style

Since Veteran's Day seemed to be a free Tuesday in the middle of the week we decided to take advantage of that and run down to Tucson for the weekend and have a little fun! We went to second Saturday in the downtown area, took a scenic drive to see mucho cacti, and sauntered on down to El Mexico!

Second Saturday in Tucson= Food+Live music+Free Spirited Elderly Folk Dancing

I guess they're trying to make mexico the "cool" thing to do by giving it a amusement park feel.

Yep, that's us on the Mexican side of the border. I mean I know they call it a border town, but it was just right there in the middle of town!

And after a long vacation and much traveling, weary and hungry we took a break at the so called famous Eegee's.

So there you have it! That's what we've been up to lately. We'd also like to give a shout out to Janessa for letting us crash on her air mattress and floor and letting us cook our frozen pizza in her oven. Here's to one of the most hospitable people in Southern Arizona! Well, thanks for reading. See ya next time!
